NASSENHEIDER was founded 1999 in Dresden, Germany, as the brainchild of Stefan Weiland, member of the Weiland family. A this time, our first family company - Joachim Weiland Werkzeugbau in Hoppegarten near Berlin, Germany - was already producing the NASSENHEIDER evaporator since 1995.
The first honey filling machine FILL UP 1 was developed as a family project as well. Soon after that Stefan went to Dresden and built up a the serial production of the machine. Later he initialized the further development of the honey bottler.
From the start, Stefan has thought and acted internationally. In 1999 he visited the world´s biggest beekeeping fair, the "APIMONDIA", in Vancouver/Canada. There he established many solid business relationships that still last down to the present days.
Until these days our company has built exclusive structures of distribution/reselling/subsidiaries on almost every continent and in many countries on the world. They are all directly supplied from Dresden. Currently the export share of our products lies over 60 %. The opening of the inner European borders and the new currency of the EURO in 2002, gave the company another push forward.
Respectively we have employed a multinational team. Dresden, a cosmopolitan city with an internationally reknown university and many multicultural reserach sites, is ideal to build a team of open-minded and highly skilled employees. Currently we are 13 employees coming from five different nations.
Our vision is, to provide small and medium sized beekeepers all over the world with outstanding tools to market all their bee products in a professional way. This helps them to boost their direct marketing abilities. And finally it helps the honey bee, one of the most important creatures on our planet.
